Membership Policy

Students: Children between 4-18 years of age, of any color, race, national origin, and socioeconomic status participating in coursework consistent with K-12 education.

While registered members are not required to sign the Anchor Enrichment Academy Statement of Faith or have any religious affiliation, they must acknowledge and respect the learning environment created by tutors and support personnel who have agreed to the Statement of Faith.

Modification or Revocation of Membership

Parents/guardians understand and agree, at the sole discretion of Anchor Enrichment Academy, it may, at any time, refuse, suspend, or revoke their child’s membership, temporarily or permanently, with cause and without notice or the opportunity to appeal. 

Special Education Policy

At Anchor Enrichment Academy, we are dedicated to supporting all students, including those with distinct learning needs, whenever possible. Although we are not a special education organization, we embrace an inclusive and collaborative approach involving directors, tutors, parents, and students. While we strive to meet the needs of every student, we recognize that some children may require more support than Anchor, as a general education organization with limited resources, can provide.

• Communication: To help us best support your child, parents must inform us of their child’s specific needs, including any accommodations or strategies that enhance learning.
• Reasonable Accommodations: We offer reasonable support, such as quiet spaces or adapted lessons, when feasible. However, parents are responsible for providing any specialized tools, paraprofessionals, or aides their child may require.
• Safety and Limitations: Anchor Enrichment Academy is not a therapeutic provider. If a child’s needs exceed our capacity, we reserve the right to refer families to specialized organizations better equipped to support their child. In such cases, we work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition.
• Behavior Expectations: All students are expected to follow the Code of Conduct. Persistent unsafe or disruptive behavior may require additional parental involvement or alternative arrangements to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Collaboration: Ongoing communication between parents and Anchor staff is essential to effectively meet each child’s needs. Together, we can create a supportive environment where students have the opportunity to thrive.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedure 

• Drop Off: Students may be dropped off no earlier than 15 minutes before the start of their classes. 
• Glendale Campus Drop Off: Students must be checked in at "The Rock" inside the Children's Building B. Teenagers with parental permission may check themselves in. 
• Off-Campus Programs Drop Off: Students attending elementary-level programs should be escorted into the building to meet the tutor to check in. Teenagers with parental permission may check themselves in. 
• Pick Up: Students must be picked up within 10 minutes of their scheduled end time. Only the authorized guardians and emergency contacts listed on the registration form are permitted to pick up students from Anchor. If anyone else is picking up your students, please text the Campus Director or tutor with the Pick-Up Person’s full name and tell the person that a photo I.D. is required in order to check your students out. 
• Glendale Campus Pick Up: Students must be checked out at "The Rock" inside the Children's Building B.  Teenagers with parental permission may check themselves out.

• Off-Campus Programs Pick Up: Students attending elementary-level programs should be picked up from the tutor at check out. Teenagers with parental permission may check themselves out. 
• Digital Check In/Out:  ONLY check in and out when you are physically at Anchor to keep safety a top priority. 

Sick Child Procedure 

•  Communicable Illnesses: If a child has a contagious illness, please keep the child home to avoid the risk of other students and Anchor staff becoming ill. 
• Symptoms at Anchor: If a child displays symptoms of illness (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, etc.), staff isolates the child from other students to minimize exposure. Staff supervises the child and tries to make the child comfortable in the designated area.
• Parent/Guardian Notification: A staff member contacts the parent or guardian to pick up the sick child. If Anchor cannot get in touch with the parent or guardian, staff notify the emergency contact listed on the child’s enrollment form.
• Return to Anchor: The child must be free of fever (without medication), vomiting, or diarrhea for at least 24 hours before attending an Anchor class, event, or Micro Crew.

Code of Conduct

Anchor Enrichment Academy is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our staff and members. As such, Anchor fully expects members to show proper respect for one another, and we reserve the right to take disciplinary action if a member does not abide by Anchor's Code of Conduct:

• Respectful Communication: Treat instructors and classmates with respect in all interactions. Use appropriate language during discussions, texts, messages, and projects. 
• Academic Integrity: Students are to submit their own work and avoid any form of plagiarism or cheating. They must agree to collaborate honestly and give credit where it is due. AI (Chat GPT and other Artificial Intelligence) is strictly forbidden unless permission is granted by the instructor for certain assignments. 
• Punctuality: Members must make every effort to attend all sessions on time and be prepared with the necessary materials. They must also put in effort to meet deadlines for assignments and projects. 
• Participation: Members should be actively engaged in class discussions and activities and do their best to stay focused and avoid distractions. 
• Technology Use: Online students must have a working computer with a camera, an internet connection, and a quiet room with a respectful background. All members should use technology responsibly and for educational purposes, ensuring that everyone is respectful and aligning with Anchor Enrichment Academy’s values. 
• Privacy and Security: Members and staff must protect personal information and respect the privacy of others. A photo release is required for Anchor to use images of members on social media and the website. All contact information is for Anchor Enrichment Academy’s use only and should not be used for other purposes. 
• Respect Property: Members will show respect to others, another’s belongings, and the property where Anchor programs take place. Members will commit to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for everyone.
• Drugs and Alcohol-free: Members agree that all Anchor Enrichment Academy programs and events are drug, alcohol, tobacco, and vape-free environments. 
• Weapons-free: Members agree that all Anchor Enrichment Academy programs and events are weapons-free environments (excluding campus security).
• Public Displays of Affection: Members agree to refrain from any sexual activities, sexual misconduct, or public displays of affection at any Anchor Enrichment Academy programs and events.

Injury or Incident

• Immediate Response: Staff assess the situation and provide basic first aid or secure emergency services if necessary.
• Safety: To prevent further harm, students may be moved from the area.
• Parent/Guardian Notification: For minor injuries, Anchor informs parents at pickup or via phone. For serious injuries, parents/guardians are contacted immediately.
• Incident Report: Depending upon the severity of the accident/injury, staff document the incident, including what happened, when, where, and actions taken. A copy is given to the parent/guardian and a copy is filed at Anchor.  

Dress Code

At Anchor Enrichment Academy, we believe that a comfortable and respectful learning environment starts with appropriate attire. Our dress code is designed to promote focus, inclusivity, and a sense of community. We ask that all members adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

• ON CAMPUS: Students wear Anchor t-shirts or a light blue polo shirt with no visible undergarments. OFF CAMPUS: Students wear modest shirts that cover cleavage and midriff. Logos, graphics, and text must align with Anchor’s values. 
• Bottoms: Jeans, pants, skirts, or shorts that are at least mid-thigh in length. 
• Looking Your Best: All clothing should be clean, neat, and appropriate for a focused learning environment.

Discipline Procedures

At Anchor Enrichment Academy, we strive to maintain a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment. To address behavioral issues, we follow a three-step discipline process:

• First Step: Verbal Warning: The student receives a clear and direct verbal warning about the inappropriate behavior. The staff member explains why the behavior is unacceptable and reminds the student of expected conduct.
• Second Step: Removal from Group: If the behavior continues, the student is temporarily removed from the classroom or activity to give the student a quiet place to refocus and reset, allowing the student to start fresh and move forward.
• Third Step: Parent Notification: If the behavior persists or is severe, a director contacts a parent/guardian. A meeting may be scheduled to discuss the behavior, potential solutions, and next steps to support the student’s success.
• Severe or Dangerous Behavior: In cases of serious misconduct, such as physical aggression, threats, or actions that endanger others, steps 1 and 2 may be bypassed, and parents are contacted immediately. Anchor reserves the right to dismiss any student for any reason. Tuition is not refundable if a student is dismissed. 
• Anchor reserves the right to deny or revoke membership for students whose needs or behaviors are beyond our ability to effectively accommodate, in order to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all.

Class Fees, Payments, and Cancellations

Fees

• The required registration fee is non-refundable. 
• Anchor charges a non-refundable Materials Fee (“Semester Fee”) on the first month's invoice for each class upon enrollment and at the beginning of spring semester. 
• Fees for all classes, private tutoring, pod learning, and microschools are listed on the pricing page. 

Payment

• All classes are billed quarterly. Payment due dates for 2025-2026 are
• August before classes start (Registration + First/Last Month Deposit + Materials Fees)
• September 15, 2025 (Quarter 1 September-October Fees)
• November 15, 2025 (Quarter 2 November-December Fees)
• January 15, 2026 (Quarter 3 January-February Fees)
• March 15, 2026 (Quarter 4 March-April Fees)
• The Last Month Deposit covers May 2026. 

• If members wish to pay for the year in full, please contact us at 480-900-5778 admin@anchorenrichment.org 

• We accept payments through ClassWallet Direct Pay! Simply submit your invoices to ClassWallet along with the attestation form. Then forward your confirmation email to Anchor at admin@anchorenrichment.org!  
• Payments are due by the invoice due date. 

Cancellation

• Anchor Enrichment Academy allows a withdrawal period of 15 days from the start of each student's classes; however, the Annual Registration, Materials Fees and first month’s fees are nonrefundable.
• After 15 days from the start of each student's classes, the quarterly fees are nonrefundable. 
• Changes to student schedules must have approval from Anchor Administration.

Private Tutoring Policies

Session Planning and Attendance

• Sessions are planned ahead for the quarter.
• Progress reports are shared as agreed upon by the client and tutor.
• If a student is late, the session ends at the scheduled time, and no refund is issued.
• Students, parents, and family members are expected to maintain professional behavior during all tutoring sessions. 
• With the exception of illness in the home, cancellations must be made no less than 24 hours before the scheduled session. In-person sessions in a home should not occur unless the family members have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication.

Billing and Payment

• Invoicing and billing are processed through Anchor Enrichment Academy.
• Tutoring clients are invoiced for completed sessions on the 15th and the last day of each month. 
• Clients must pay or submit to ClassWallet within 48 hours of receiving each invoice.
• To terminate services, the client must provide two weeks’ written notice to both the tutor and the Anchor Admin Team.

Release

In consideration of the benefits of participation in the activities of Anchor Enrichment Academy, a program of an Arizona nonprofit corporation, parents/guardians, for their minor child and themselves, the heirs, and/or personal representatives, consent to their children’s participation in Anchor Enrichment Academy activities and further waive all claims or causes of action against Anchor Enrichment Academy, its agents, directors, trustees, employees, and volunteers (collectively referred to as the "Anchor Enrichment Academy Group"); arising out of the minor children’s and/or parent/guardian’s participation in Anchor Enrichment Academy activities. The parent/guardian hereby release, hold harmless, and discharge the Anchor Enrichment Academy Group from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, including attorney fees, arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury (whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise), including death, that the minor child and/or the parent/guardian might sustain or that any of the child’s and/or the parent/guardian’s property might sustain while participating in any Anchor Enrichment Academy Activities.

Assumption of Risks

Parents/Guardians understand that participation in Anchor Enrichment Academy activities (classes, trips, events, etc.) sometimes involves the risk of personal injury, including death, due to physical, mental, and emotional challenges in the activities offered. Information about these activities may be obtained from the venue/facility, and/or from the Anchor Enrichment Academy members planning and coordinating the trip, event, or activity. Parents/guardians understand that participation is voluntary and requires that all participants (student and adult) follow instructions and obey rules and policies set forth by Anchor Enrichment Academy, and the facility/venue. Knowing, understanding, and fully appreciating all possible risks, the parents/guardians hereby expressly, voluntarily, and willingly assume all risks and dangers associated with the minor child’s and/or their participation in Anchor Enrichment Academy activities. The parents/guardians understand and acknowledge that Anchor Enrichment Academy activities could result in injury and agree that participation in all Anchor Enrichment Academy activities shall be at their children’s and/or their sole risk.

Intellectual Property 

Use of property owned by Anchor Enrichment Academy including, but not limited to, patents, patent applications, trademarks (both registered and unregistered), and copyrights (collectively “Intellectual Property”) is expressly prohibited for use other than that permitted within normal and customary Anchor Enrichment Academy activities and in accordance with Anchor Enrichment Academy Brand guidelines. Generally, the Anchor Enrichment Academy logo may be used on internal member correspondences; however, the Anchor Enrichment Academy logo, and other protected property, may not be used on any product, apparel, or item without the prior written consent of an Authorized Agent of Anchor Enrichment Academy. In the event that Anchor Enrichment Academy becomes aware of an infringement, or potential infringement, to its Intellectual Property, it shall seek any, and all, remedies available to it under the law.
